Play reversi online for free on Classic Play Games. Also known as Othello, this classic strategy board game is easy to learn but hard to master. Place your discs to flip your opponent's pieces — control the corners and edges to dominate the board. Challenge the AI or play against a friend, no account or download needed.
Reversi is played on an 8×8 board. The game starts with four discs in the centre — two of each colour arranged diagonally. On your turn you place one disc on an empty square so that one or more straight lines (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal) of opponent discs are trapped between your new disc and another disc of your colour. Every trapped opponent disc flips to your colour.
You must make a flipping move on your turn — if you can't, you pass. The game ends when neither player can move, usually because the board is full. The player with the most discs of their colour wins.
Easier AI levels often grab tempting captures that surrender corner control; stronger settings defend mobility and patiently set up endgame flips. Switch up the difficulty as you learn corner and edge strategy.
Two-player local mode lets you both share one device — alternate turns and pass after each move. No second account, no invitation.
